My name is Jamie. I grew up in Iowa City and stayed there through college where I studied writing and worked at a bar. Following college I moved to Chicago where I study writing and work at a bar. My life in Chicago is pretty similar to the one I had in Iowa City. The only difference is that the couples who made out with each other at the bar in Iowa City were younger and more attractive than the couples who make out with each other at my current job in Chicago.

I met Jon Biver in 2003 when I cast him in a college play. When I discovered that he moved to Chicago shortly after I did, I called him up and asked him if he still had the books that he had borrowed from me years ago. He said yes, he did have them--and he also had this comedy group he was working with that was doing fun and innovative things with comedy that he thought I should be a part of. Jon is a liar and a terrible borrower of books, DVDs, condiments, and electrical equipment. But he did introduce me to the other members of Baron Von Awesome who are good, funny people, and make up for the terrible person he is.
